WHAT IS SRI?
SRI is the common abbreviation for
“Socially Responsible Investing”. Which means the integrating of
personal values and social concerns with investment decisions. SRI
considers both the investor’s financial needs and an investment’s impact
on society. With SRI, the investor can feel confident that investment
money is being put to work, to build a better tomorrow, while earning
competitive returns today.
One mark of an organization’s attention
to social responsibility is the adoption of a formal environmental
management program. Many investors look for registration to the ISO
14000 international environmental management standard as a measure of
pro-active acceptance of social responsibility.

solving and corrective action. Popularized by Ford Motor Company
in the 1980’s, the 8D is now pretty much universal. A recent form of the
8D is the known as the Global 8D. The Global 8D is a computer
driven 8D format that has the user capture a significant amount of
ancillary information about the problem. This information is compiled in
a database and provides the user with information about unseen patterns
that may indicate additional systems failures.
